Short answer: On refurbished iPhones in India the Pro premium runs from Rs 14,600 to Rs 25,500 depending on the generation. Two Pro features are worth real money to real people: ProMotion 120Hz, which you notice every time you scroll, and the telephoto lens, which you notice every time you photograph something at a distance. Everything else — titanium, ProRAW, LiDAR — is genuinely nice and genuinely optional. If neither of those two matters to you, buy the non-Pro and keep the difference.

What the Pro premium actually costs
| Pair | Non-Pro | Pro | Premium |
|---|---|---|---|
| iPhone 13 | Rs 30,390 | Rs 44,990 | Rs 14,600 |
| iPhone 14 | Rs 34,990 | Rs 55,990 | Rs 21,000 |
| iPhone 15 | Rs 47,490 | Rs 72,990 | Rs 25,500 |
| iPhone 12 | Rs 21,990 | Rs 34,490 | Rs 12,500 |
All in stock as of 6 September 2026. Notice that the premium grows as the generation gets newer, which is why the iPhone 13 Pro at Rs 44,990 is the cheapest way into ProMotion and a telephoto lens that we stock. If Pro features are what you want, that is the value entry point.
The two Pro features that genuinely matter
ProMotion, 120Hz. The screen refreshes twice as often as a standard iPhone. Scrolling, typing and animation all look smoother. It is one of those changes that sounds like a specification and behaves like an experience — nobody misses it until they have used it, and then 60Hz looks stuttery. If you use your phone for several hours a day, this is the single most noticeable Pro feature.
The telephoto lens. A third camera with real optical zoom — 3x on the 13 Pro and 14 Pro, 5x on the 15 Pro Max. Digital zoom on a non-Pro crops and guesses; optical zoom actually reaches. If you photograph children, performances, sport, travel or anything you cannot walk closer to, this changes what your phone can do rather than just improving it.
The Pro features that sound better than they feel
- Titanium or stainless steel frame. Premium in the hand and heavier in the pocket. The stainless steel on the 12 to 14 Pro models makes them noticeably weightier than their non-Pro siblings, which many people dislike.
- ProRAW and ProRes. Superb if you edit photos and video professionally. Irrelevant, and space-consuming, if you do not.
- LiDAR. Faster autofocus in the dark and better Night mode portraits. Real, small, invisible to most users.
- Always-on display, on the 14 Pro and newer. Some people love it. Many turn it off within a week to save battery.
- The Action Button, on the 15 Pro. Genuinely useful if you configure it. Most people press it twice and forget.
What you do not lose by buying non-Pro
This is the part worth saying plainly, because Pro marketing implies otherwise. The non-Pro iPhone has the same Face ID, the same 5G, the same IP68 water resistance, the same MagSafe, the same iOS with the same features and the same update runway. The main camera on the 15 is the same 48MP sensor class as the Pro.
And battery life is often better on non-Pro models, because a 60Hz screen draws less power than a 120Hz one. The iPhone 14 Plus at Rs 39,490 outlasts the iPhone 14 Pro at Rs 55,990, for Rs 16,500 less.
Who should buy Pro
- Anyone who photographs at a distance regularly. The telephoto lens is the strongest single argument.
- Heavy daily users who will notice 120Hz. If your phone is in your hand three hours a day, ProMotion earns its keep.
- Anyone shooting video professionally or semi-professionally. ProRes and the better stabilisation are real tools.
- Anyone who keeps a phone six years. Pro models age more gracefully because they started with more headroom.
Who should NOT buy Pro
- Anyone whose main need is battery life. Buy the iPhone 14 Plus at Rs 39,490. It beats every Pro on this page for endurance.
- Anyone buying on EMI at the edge of their budget. Rs 21,000 of Pro premium is not the right place to stretch. The iPhone 14 at Rs 34,990 will not disappoint you.
- Anyone who mostly uses WhatsApp, calls, YouTube and UPI. You will never touch a Pro feature.
- Anyone who finds heavy phones uncomfortable. Stainless steel Pro models are noticeably heavier.
- Anyone who wants the best camera at the lowest price. The iPhone 12 Pro at Rs 34,490 gives you telephoto and LiDAR for less than an iPhone 14 costs.

Frequently asked questions
Is a refurbished iPhone Pro worth the extra money in India?
It is if you will use ProMotion 120Hz or the telephoto lens. Those are the two features you feel every day. The rest of the Pro package — titanium, ProRAW, LiDAR — is real but rarely decisive for ordinary use.
What is the cheapest iPhone with 120Hz?
In our stock, the iPhone 13 Pro at Rs 44,990. No non-Pro iPhone has ever had ProMotion, so a Pro model is the only route to it.
Do Pro iPhones have better battery life?
Usually not, despite larger batteries, because 120Hz displays and more powerful chips consume the difference. The iPhone 14 Plus at Rs 39,490 outlasts the iPhone 14 Pro at Rs 55,990.
Is the iPhone 12 Pro still a good buy in 2026?
At Rs 34,490 it is the cheapest telephoto-plus-LiDAR iPhone we stock. Its limitations are the older A14 chip and the same battery concerns as the standard iPhone 12. Good value for photographers on a budget.
Do Pro models get iOS updates for longer?
No. Apple supports Pro and non-Pro models of the same generation for the same period, typically around five to seven years from launch.
Are Pro models more fragile?
No, generally the opposite. Pro models have used tougher frame materials and, from the 14 Pro onward, the same Ceramic Shield front. They are heavier, which is a comfort question rather than a durability one.
