Short answer: We dispatch every laptop from Delhi within 24 to 48 working hours of order confirmation. After dispatch, typical transit is 1–2 days to Delhi NCR, 2–4 days to metros, 3–6 days to tier-2 cities and 4–8 days to South India and the North-East. So a Dell Latitude 5400 Core i7 at ₹22,490 ordered from Chennai usually lands in about 5 to 7 days in total. Record an unboxing video before you cut the tape.

Delivery is the single most common complaint we get. Not the laptops, not the warranty, not the invoice — the wait. So this page is written the way we would explain it on WhatsApp: how long each leg realistically takes, what we do about damage, and what you should do at your end to protect yourself.

How long does refurbished laptop delivery take across India?

Two clocks run on every order. Ours: pick the exact unit, run the final function test, pack it, generate the GST invoice and hand it to the courier — 24 to 48 working hours. Then the courier’s clock, which is the one that varies by pincode.

Destination band Example cities Typical transit after dispatch
Delhi NCR Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad 1–2 days
Major metros Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad 2–4 days
North and West tier-2 Lucknow, Jaipur, Prayagraj, Indore, Ludhiana, Surat, Nagpur 3–5 days
East and Central tier-2 Patna, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Raipur, Guwahati city 4–6 days
South India beyond the metros Coimbatore, Kochi, Mysuru, Vijayawada, Madurai, Mangaluru 4–7 days
North-East, J&K, Ladakh, island territories Imphal, Aizawl, Itanagar, Srinagar, Leh, Port Blair 5–10 days, sometimes longer

These bands are typical, not guaranteed. They are what we observe on ordinary working weeks. They are not a promise, and we will not pretend otherwise. Add 1 to 3 days during Diwali and the festive rush, during heavy monsoon in coastal and North-East routes, and around long weekends and state holidays when hub sorting slows down.

Why South India and the North-East take longer

Our stock sits in Delhi. Everything that leaves us travels by surface network for heavy parcels, and a laptop in protective packing is a heavy parcel. Delhi to Bengaluru is roughly 2,150 km; Delhi to Kochi is roughly 2,800 km; Delhi to Aizawl is roughly 2,500 km with a mountain leg at the end that no courier moves quickly. Every extra hub the parcel passes through adds a sorting cycle, and a sorting cycle is usually half a day to a full day.

Second, high-value electronics move on a stricter chain than clothing. Some destination hubs hold electronics for an extra verification scan, and some remote pincodes are serviced two or three days a week rather than daily. That is outside our control. What is inside our control is telling you the honest range before you pay, instead of a cheerful “3–5 days” badge that will not hold for a Coimbatore pincode.

The delay problem, said plainly

Some orders take longer than the bands above. Usually it is one of four things: a missed delivery attempt with no call, a misroute at a hub, an incomplete address or wrong pincode, or a festive backlog that swallowed a day at every stop. None of these are acceptable to us, and none get fixed by apologising in a footer.

What you should do about it: if your tracking has not moved for 48 hours, message us on WhatsApp with your order number. Do not wait for the courier’s own helpline to call you back. We can raise a trace from our side, which moves faster than a customer-side complaint, and we will tell you what the scan history actually says rather than reading you the same status you can already see.

How we pack a laptop for transit

A business laptop like the Dell Latitude 7490 Core i5 at ₹22,490 is a 1.4 kg slab of magnesium and glass. The screen is the fragile part, not the chassis, so the packing protects the lid and corners.

  • A soft protective sheet between screen and keyboard so the keys do not mark the panel.
  • Bagged, then bubble-wrapped on all six faces with extra layers on the lid corners.
  • Charger packed separately in its own sleeve, never loose against the lid — a loose adapter is the most common cause of a cracked panel.
  • Double-wall corrugated box with fill, so nothing rattles when you shake it.
  • Outer box labelled fragile and sealed with tamper-evident tape.

Every unit is packed only after it clears the 50-point quality check, so the machine in the box was switched on, port-tested and battery-tested that week.

Record an unboxing video before you open the box

This is the most useful thing on this page, so treat it as an instruction, not a suggestion. Before you cut a single strip of tape:

  1. Start recording on your phone. Do not stop the recording until the laptop is out and powered on.
  2. Film all six sides of the sealed outer box, including the shipping label and the tamper-evident tape.
  3. Cut the tape on camera. Do not use a blade deep enough to reach the contents.
  4. Keep filming through the packing layers until the laptop is fully out.
  5. Power it on, on camera, and show the screen lighting up.

One continuous video, no cuts. If anything is wrong — cracked panel, dented lid, missing charger — that file settles the claim in minutes instead of a week of arguing. If everything is fine, you have lost ninety seconds. We would tell you to do this even if you were buying from someone else.

What happens if the box arrives damaged

If the outer box is visibly crushed, wet, or the tamper tape is broken, refuse the delivery and tell us immediately. A refused parcel comes straight back to us and a replacement or refund is straightforward.

If damage only shows once the box is open, message us the same day with the unboxing video and photos of the box and unit. Transit damage is our problem: we arrange the reverse pickup and either replace from stock or refund you. It is a shipping claim, not a warranty claim — the NewAsNew Assured warranty does not cover physical damage.

The 7-day return window and how delivery fits into it

Your 7-day return window starts from the delivery date, not the order date, so a slow courier does not eat into your inspection time. Use those seven days: run a full battery cycle, plug in an external monitor, test every USB port, check Wi-Fi on your own network, and compare the battery health reading against the band stated on the listing. If it does not match what we published, that is a valid return — see our returns guide.

Tracking your order

A tracking number reaches you by email and on WhatsApp when the parcel leaves us, along with your GST invoice — see how the GST invoice works on a refurbished laptop if you are claiming input credit. Scans are not real-time; a parcel can sit “in transit” for a day and still be moving. The scan that matters is “out for delivery” — keep your phone reachable that day, because most cities get one call and one attempt.

Who should not order a laptop online from us

Buy locally instead if you need the machine tomorrow for an exam, an interview or a client deadline — no band above is a guarantee, and a 24-hour requirement is not something we can honestly meet outside Delhi NCR. Same if you are in a remote pincode and cannot be reachable by phone for a week; a parcel that fails three attempts returns to origin and the cycle restarts. And if you are travelling and cannot inspect the unit within seven days of delivery, order when you are back.

Frequently asked questions

How many days does a refurbished laptop take to deliver in India?

Typically 3 to 7 days in total from order to doorstep, made up of 24 to 48 working hours of dispatch preparation at our Delhi facility plus courier transit. Delhi NCR is usually 1–2 days after dispatch, metros 2–4 days, tier-2 cities 3–6 days, and South India or the North-East 4–8 days. Festive season and monsoon add a day or three.

Do you deliver refurbished laptops to South India?

Yes, we ship pan-India including Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Coimbatore and Mysuru. Metro addresses in the South usually see 2–4 days transit after dispatch and smaller South Indian cities 4–7 days, because every parcel travels by surface from Delhi. We will tell you the realistic band for your pincode on WhatsApp before you pay.

What should I do if my laptop box arrives damaged?

Refuse the delivery if the outer box is visibly crushed, wet or has broken tamper tape. If you only find damage after opening, message us the same day with your unboxing video and photos of the box and unit. Transit damage is handled by us as a shipping claim with a reverse pickup and a replacement or refund — it is not a warranty claim.

Should I record an unboxing video of a refurbished laptop?

Yes, always, for any seller. Film all six sides of the sealed box including the label and tape, then cut the tape and keep recording in one unbroken clip until the laptop is powered on. That single file resolves damage and missing-accessory disputes in minutes. It costs you ninety seconds and is the strongest evidence you can hold.

Does the 7-day return period start from order date or delivery date?

From the delivery date. A slow courier does not reduce your inspection time. Within those seven days you can test the machine fully — battery cycle, ports, Wi-Fi, display, keyboard — and return it if it does not match the listing, including the stated battery health band. Return shipping is arranged as a reverse pickup.

How is a laptop packed for shipping so it does not break?

Screen protector sheet over the keyboard, the unit bagged and bubble-wrapped on all six faces with double protection on the lid corners, charger packed in a separate sleeve so it never presses against the display, then a double-wall corrugated box with fill so nothing rattles, sealed with tamper-evident tape. The charger being loose is the most common cause of a cracked panel.
